Sigh, I’m getting old…
Lately, I’m doing some research on different types of face creams, and I find the whole thing a bit overwhelming. There are too many face creams claiming to turn back time, but I know better. You can’t stop the aging process, but, gosh darn, it I’m gonna try my best to slow it down. Hence my quest to find a good face cream.
As for my quest, I’ve tried dozens of products. So far, I’ve been using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream, Original Formula SPF 15.
I know I’m too young (well, I ain’t no spring chicken, either) for anti-wrinkle, but it had sunscreen (SPF 15) and didn’t irritate my skin. Plus, it was light enough to wear underneath my makeup. As for the anti-wrinkle part, it had retinol (a form of vitamin A) in it. Here’s an good article on the effects of retinol on the skin:
Skin benefits of retinol and retinyl palmitate
As for the product, it did a good job moisturizing. When I put it on, it absorbed quickly. Also, no smell. That’s a good thing because my face is very sensitive. Anywho, why should I switch if I don’t have any problems with it? I wanted to try something more “natural” ingredients. So, in my next posts I’ll do some reviews on several types of “organic” face moisturizer. (haha I finally found something to do with this blog) Oh wells, signing out for now…
